June 2026 Farm Newsletter

Welcome to Our Monthly Newsletter

Summer has arrived at Huntington Ridge Farm, and there's plenty to share. From infrastructure improvements to exciting show results, it's been a busy and rewarding month for our horses, riders, and staff.

Farm Updates

We've been busy improving the property to keep our horses safe and comfortable. Hot wire fencing has been added to protect boards from horses, and we continue to invest in the long-term health of the facility.

Arena maintenance is ongoing and trail enhancements are underway — particularly near the 'Jurassic Park' stretch where root exposure had become an issue. We're using wood mulch to improve footing and make the trails more enjoyable for all riders.

Our pond has also needed some attention: algae growth prompted us to order treatment equipment and add blue dye to slow the bloom while we prepare to install fountains that will improve water circulation.

Team Spotlight: Robert Scheffler

This month we'd like to recognize Robert Scheffler, affectionately known around the farm as the 'Candy Man to the horses.' Robert keeps our fencing in top shape across the entire property — a behind-the-scenes role that makes everything else possible. Thank you, Robert!

Competition Highlights

Our riders have been shining in the show ring this season. Recent highlights include:

  • Reserve Champion honors in Baby Green Hunters
  • Multiple top placings in jumper divisions at .80m through 1.15m levels
  • Strong showings in derby competitions and hunter classes

We're proud of every rider who has worked hard, trusted their horses, and shown up prepared. The results speak for themselves — great job to all!

Summer Camp — Registration Open
