Pony Club

Pony Club offers riders of all skill-levels and ages the opportunity to have fun and expand their knowledge through mounted and unmounted activities while making lifelong friendships with both horses & humans! Students will develop skills, habits, values that extend well beyond the barn and last a lifetime.

For beginner riders, Pony Club events will build the foundation of their knowledge in & out of the saddle while more advanced riders have the opportunity to explore specific topics of interest in greater detail.

Every Pony Club session includes Unmounted Games and Activities to strengthen groundwork skills and expand horse care knowledge. Topics include wrapping legs, braiding manes, body clipping, safety equipment, longeing, and much more.

Then, after a brief break and discussion we mount up for a Riding Clinic to delve into a new discipline or hone our riding skills through mounted games! Huntington Ridge Pony Club has previously offered barrel racing, trail class, & holiday games and we’re excited to continue to expand our horizons with more disciplines in future Pony Club sessions!

Finally, we end with Barn Management, an absolute favorite of pony kids and juniors! Riders appreciate their horses on a whole new level when they are the ones helping care for their four-legged friends. Students assist trainers in turning horses in, feeding, mixing supplements, blanketing, treating ailments, and many other routine tasks that go into daily horse care. After all, horses are hard work!

With a holistic approach to teaching, Pony Club will help riders of all ages and abilities meet their horsey goals. Whether students fast-track their advancement by enrolling in monthly sessions or simply enjoy attending those topics that interest them, Pony Club has something for any horse crazy kid (or kid at heart!).
